Larry Crabb has written a book that urges us to understand how important it us for us to be together in this pilgrimage of faith. He writes, “We were designed to connect with others…Connecting with others depends on using our capacity to relate for the enjoyment and enhancement of someone other than ourselves.” So I have asked you to come together in prayer and fellowship so we might grow more deeply in our walk with the Lord and with each other.

Paul said this to the Colossians (1:26). My presence with you as a minister, a servant is something that God made possible for us through His grace. He considered this ministry to be a gift given to me. God also knew that my being here would be of benefit to you. My purpose for being here is to fill your lives with the word of God. So I came to you (1:29) to carry out this work and have worked hard, being energized and empowered by the Spirit that has been given to me.

This is true for our lives together. Now let’s share this energy and power by gathering for prayer and fellowship. Let’s connect in more powerful ways and watch how God blesses more abundantly that we could ever think or imagine.
